You are an essential part of the IIDA community—and we want to hear from you. Share your experiences as a designer and an IIDA member with us to be featured in IIDA content, marketing materials, social media channels, and on iida.org.
Please follow the directions as outlined for your best chance to be featured. Most importantly, submit one question per video. If you have more questions you’d like to respond to, you are welcome to submit additional videos.

Please read before submitting a video:
Video Specifications:
Length: 1 minute or less
Size: Minimum 1080x1080 resolution, maximum file size 100 MB
Use your smartphone to film in a square or landscape ratio
If you are unable to send a video with the above specs, we still want to hear from you! You can submit a written response and/or image.

Content Requirements:
Introduce yourself
Name, school or company, location, and IIDA Chapter affiliation
Consider acknowledging the current situation or a positive message of solidarity or reflection
- Respond to a question: Please refer to the list of questions on this page
Feel free to give background information that informs your question
Limit one question per video
- Optional:
Be creative with your video while maintaining focus on your story
Limit video effects (transitions) and additional imagery (portfolio images) unless it supports your story
Getting Set Up:
Locate a quiet space with little echo (carpeted rooms are ideal)
Create your video in a well-lit space, without backlighting
Use your phone or laptops' built-in camera; it’s recommended to prop it on a steady surface at eye level or use a tripod
Do a quick test to ensure your sound is on and your audio is coming through
Save the video as an .mp4 or .avi file format
File name should be “LastName_FirstName_Story”
