You are an essential part of the IIDA community—and we want to hear from you. Share your experiences as a designer and an IIDA member with us to be featured in IIDA content, marketing materials, social media channels, and on iida.org.  

The following questions are prompts for you to consider when deciding what story you'd like to share. Feel free to answer one (or all!), but please submit one video per question, as outlined in the video requirements.

Questions about membership:

  • How has IIDA provided you growth opportunities—through career or skills-building, networking, mentorship, and sponsorship, or through exposure to new ideas or points of view?
  • How has your experience in IIDA shaped the way you design, or the way you’ve navigated your career?
  • How has your professional network supported you through times of uncertainty or changes in the industry?
  • How has the IIDA community supported you in your career, your development, and the way you lead?
  • Why is participation in IIDA valuable or important to you - is there a particular program, event, or opportunity that you have taken part in?

Questions about design:

  • How have you used design to support your community, and how has your community impacted the way you design?
  • What is something you are most proud of achieving in your career for yourself, your organization, and the industry at large?
  • What kind of creative endeavors, research, or activities are keeping you inspired or grounded?
  • What exciting things have you discovered during this time that have been keeping you inspired and motivated?
  • How have you been staying connected to the design community during the pandemic, and why is it more important than ever to do so?
  • Describe what makes your local or regional design community unique and special—how does what you do at the chapter or regional level affect the industry at large?
  • What leaders in the interior design industry have inspired you and how?
  • What is the best advice you have for emerging designers who are navigating the professional world for the first time?
